Chandler, AZ. GRANDNIECE OF TRADER VIC'S FOUNDER LAUNCHES THE FIRST, TRUE, VIRTUAL CAFE AT www.slimchef.org
Chandler chef Emma Caumont has opened the first virtual cafe on the Internet. "I have a vision to put people together in a realistic cafe, where both visitors and sponsors can find each other better and do business," says Caumont. Her unique concept is making its roll-out in Phoenix, AZ, the fifth largest city in the US.
Enter Slim Chef Cafe (www.slimchef.org) and grab an icon to show the purpose of your visit. Then click one of several virtual "Tables." Sponsors advertise at each Table, making it easy for guests to see and buy. At a Food Table, guests find people with the same icon as theirs and may start a real-time conversation. There are plenty of Tables to choose from: a Reading Table, a Sports Table, a Game Table and so many more. Guests may download free e-books and games, free sporting events, and any daily US newspaper.
Slim Chef Cafe is a site for all ages. Profanities, inappropriate comments, and solicitations are automatically censored. No illegal services may advertise.
Slim Cafe also has a "Bar" with open discussions; guests must show ID and be over 18 years of age. At the Bar, advertisers like clubs, venues, cigarettes, and alcoholic beverages may place their banners.
With Slim Chef Cafe, sponsors now advertise and virtually monitor the effectiveness of their advertisements. Instead of "hit or miss," like ad sense marketing, sponsors can get real-time feedback from consumers and speak to them.
Chef Caumont comes from a long line of food experts and chefs, including the late Victor Bergeron, founder of the Trader Vic's restaurants. Caumont founded the Slim Chef Café in the San Francisco area, and owned Celebrity’s Café. She also was executive chef at Sunrise Senior Living in Danville, California.
